If you’re talking about the greatest baseball movies of all time, there’s no doubt “The Sandlot” is in the conversation. There are so many classic moments and characters. Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez. The PF Flyers. The Fourth of the July scene. The rattling off of Babe Ruth nicknames. Ham Porter’s trash talk. All these years later, it’s still enough to make you feel like a kid again.

To mark the anniversary, we talked to a variety of MLB players about the iconic film. They imagined themselves as members of “The Sandlot” crew, recounted their favorite scenes and remembered their favorite quotes.

It was pretty clear: MLB players love “The Sandlot” as much as regular ol’ baseball fans do. Then again, it’s hard not to love Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez.
