Samsung's Galaxy S9 smartphone is the Korean company's new flagship phone, with a price tag that sets it firmly among premium smartphones.
Priced at £739 for the S9 and £869 for the S9+, many buyers looking for an upgrade will be trying to find the best deal for the new model. Confirmed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the iPhone X challenger includes a massive 5.8-inch screen, a dual lens camera and AR Emoji.

The Galaxy S9 is available from most major networks and re-sellers and is available to pre-order online. It goes on full sale on 16 March. It is available to pre-order from Samsung, but is also available on networks such as EE, Vodafone and O2 and third party shops like Mobiles.co.uk, Carphone Warehouse and Currys.

Samsung Galaxy S9: best deals
The Samsung Galaxy S9 starts at £739. The smaller version of the smartphone has a 5.8-inch screen and a single lens camera, which has a dual aperture for improved low lighting shots. It has the same processor as the larger S9+ but a slightly smaller battery.
It's an expensive phone and deals for the S9 don't start cheap. One of the best rates we have found is from Mobiles.co.uk, which offers the phone with 4GB of data, a £280 upfront cost at £26 per month. This comes to £904 over two years with a contract on O2.
That price is better than some of the best deals on the iPhone X, which can be found for around £185 upfront at £49 per month, or £1,361 over two years.

The larger Samsung Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2-inch screen and starts at £869. It has a dual camera, a massive 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage inside.
The more expensive model sees prices up across the network providers. You can pick up a model on Mobiles.co.uk from £250 upfront at £37 per month, which comes to £1,138. This is the cheapest deal we have found, short of buying your the phone outright.

Samsung fans can trade in an old model for an additional discount on the new phone when buying it outright. This can be found on Samsung's pre-order store. Consumers can get an added £200 off the S9 or S9+ if they trade in one of the latest models.
