Rylan Clark has revealed that Strictly Come Dancing’s spin off show It Takes Two has been given a bit of a shake up.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Clark would be joining current It Takes Two presenter Zoe Ball.

Ahead of the return of Strictly on Saturday 7 September, Clark appeared on This Morning to talk about his role alongside Ball and explained that she would be taking a step back due to her Radio 2 presenting duties.

“Me and Zoe are sort of sharing duties, she’s doing the Breakfast Show on Radio 2,” he explained to the presenters.

“She just wanted to take a step back. It’s a lot of work doing early mornings and nights as well.”

Appearing to reveal more than he probably should have, Rylan continued: “I might as well just say it – I’m going to be doing Mondays and Tuesdays, Zoe’s doing Wednesdays and Thursdays, and we’re both doing Friday, which is amazing. It starts in two and a half weeks.”

“We did the launch show on Monday, the red carpet. The couples get paired up today… Obviously you’ll see it next Saturday. It’s amazing. You know what it’s like, it’s a machine, that show.

“I’m very lucky. I’m extremely honoured to be joining such a television institution and can’t wait to bring a lot of mischief to the Strictly bubble.”

He went on to comment: "I’m looking forward to getting started and seeing you all soon.”

Clark recently admitted that he felt like an imposter when he landed the role on It Takes Two.
