New Rutgers quarterback Kyle Bolin has few ties to the Northeast, but since his arrival in Piscataway this past May, he has started to get to familiarize himself with the landscape. Bolin recently did some workouts on his own with Tony Racioppi, who trains NFL Draft prospects, along with college and high school quarterbacks, at TEST Football Academy in Martinsville, N.J.
Racioppi was also a two-time All-American quarterback and NCAA DIII player of the year runner up at Rowan University. He is also ranked among the top 25 passers in NCAA history and has played professionally in Europe and the Arena Leagues.
Recently, he worked out with Bolin and offered up his take of Rutgers’ grad transfer quarterback.
"I’m beyond impressed with Kyle Bolin's ability to throw in rhythm, reset himself in a progression to primary, secondary and outlet targets and he throws off platform beautifully. He has NFL velocity and the ability to layer ball over second level defenders. We’re talking about a kid who has played at a high level and sat behind a Heisman trophy winner last year. I am looking for big things out of Kyle this season.”
