Rutgers football recruiting: Caleb Brewer is getting ready for a busy spring
Caleb Brewer is getting ready for plenty of miles this spring as one of the top offensive linemen in the nation will be making some bigtime visits.
A 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle from Wyomissing High School (Reading, PA) is one of the top recruits in Pennsylvania and is becoming a national recruit. He has an offer list that includes Boston College, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina and Virginia Tech among others.
Brewer is planning to cut down his list over the next two weeks. He says that Rutgers is doing well after offering him in late October.
“(It’s) good, they have been in lots of contact with me, and have been recruiting me pretty heavy,” Brewer told Rutgers Wire this week.
“They seem like they are interested in me and I like the way they are recruiting me, the facilities for the players at Rutgers are very good.”
He is also getting to know new Rutgers offensive line coach pat Flaherty.
“My relations with them have been good, just like any other relationship with a coach,” Brewer said.
Brewer plans to visit Michigan on March 31 and Notre Dame on April 1.
“Michigan is a great school and I really like them, they stand out because of the respect they treated me with on my visit,” Brewer said.
