Russell Wilson puts together a Black History Month music playlist for Spotify originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest
As Black History comes to a close, Spotify took the whole month to create a ‘Black History is Now’ hub where a collection of playlists and podcasts are curated to honor the legacy and influence of Black musicians.
For this week, a playlist curation called Saturday Stream highlights playlists that are curated by a few high-profile names.

The playlist features, you guessed it, his wife Ciara. As well as Bob Marley & the Wailers, Prince, The Spinners, 2Pac, Michael Jackson, Ms. Lauryn Hill, The Notorious B.I.G., Leon Bridges, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and 2Chainz.
Wilson wants his playlist to represent a “legacy of strength & power” as well as keeping you moving and happy while listening to the playlist.
