Russell Wilson free agency tour: 3 teams named so far

The Denver Broncos will not officially release Russell Wilson until the new league year begins, but the front office has given the quarterback permission to meet with other teams before the cut hits the NFL’s transaction wire.

So far, Wilson has been linked to three teams.

Wilson first had an “exploratory meeting” meeting with the New York Giants in New Jersey on Friday meeting. After that, the veteran quarterback caught a flight to Pennsylvania for a scheduled meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

More stops could be added to the free agency tour soon. Wilson’s future visits will “possibly” include the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Cecil Lammey of reported Thursday that Wilson “is open to signing with the Raiders — and he’s being advised to do so by those close to him.” So far, though, no Las Vegas visit has been reported.

There’s also been no word yet on the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings or Washington Commanders, but those teams might also be in the market for a veteran quarterback this offseason.

Wilson, 35, is set to be released by the Broncos on March 13.
