Russell Wilson coincidence could be good omen for Joe Burrow, Bengals

Football is unpredictable and if we’re being perfectly honest nobody knows exactly how any one game is going to play out – especially because the best team doesn’t always win. For example, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams are the superior teams on paper going into Sunday’s conference championships. However, it would not come as a surprise if both the San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Bengals upset them and made it to the Super Bowl.

If you believe in weird coincidences, this strange connection with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson could be another good omen for Joe Burrow this weekend.

The last time two teams met for the first time ever in the playoffs in the conference championship was the classic 2013-14 NFC title game between San Francisco and Seattle, who won that game in thrilling and memorable fashion.

Apparently, Burrow will be the exact same age on Sunday as Wilson was for that matchup (25 years and 65 days).

For what it’s worth, Wilson picked the Bengals to beat the Titans last week.

More importantly, Cincinnati beat Kansas City only a few weeks ago – a result that Chiefs coach Andy Reid says wasn’t a fluke. Meanwhile, the Niners have won six straight against the Rams.
