The Rush: Stick to sports unless you’re Tommy Tuberville or Tito Oritz

Election Day had ramifications in the sports world as former coach Tommy Tuberville and UFC champion Tito Ortiz were both elected to public office, while Maryland, Louisiana and South Dakota voted to legalize sports gambling. Meanwhile in the NFL, Antonio Brown was dressed like Tom Brady while Ryan Fitzpatrick was dressed like Cardi B. PLUS: Cody Bellinger should play in New Jersey, Antonio Brown will soon be the face of TB12 plant-based protein, and CJ McCollum makes his voice heard.

ANTONIO BROWN: I'm excited to learn and be around guys, and, you know, motivate the guys, and learn from the guys, and put my hand in a pile, and hopefully help be the reason we win.

JARED QUAY: That was Antonio Brown's first press conference as a Buccaneer. And in case you're wondering, yes, that was a TB12 hat. We'll talk about why a little bit later. But first, democracy, you know, America's favorite sport.

- Oh yeah?

- Yeah.

JARED QUAY: The sports world took part in the 2020 election, and not just by voting, like CJ McCollum. In Alabama, former head coach, Tommy Tuberville, was elected to the Senate. Here he is back in 2016 deciding he wanted to be a conservative politician.

TOMMY TUBERVILLE: Hey, go to hell! Get a job!

JARED QUAY: And UFC legend, Tito Ortiz, is also a public servant now. He won a city council seat in Huntington Beach, even though he said some [BLEEP] about the 'rona that's so bad, we got to beep out the entire clip.

TITO ORTIZ: It's population control, population control by the [BLEEP].

JARED QUAY: You're welcome. Gambling was also on the ballot, as Maryland, Louisiana, and South Dakota all legalized sports betting. Meanwhile, New Jersey joined California in legalizing weed. Now, I admit, weed isn't sports. But just don't say that to Cody Bellinger.

Antonio Brown suited up with the Buccs for his first practice yesterday. And it didn't take long for him to get the right attire. And I ain't talking about the Buccaneers uniform. Nobody cares about that.

- Ain't nobody got time for that.

JARED QUAY: I'm talking about showing up in a TB12 hat to his first press conference. And, honestly, I get it. Brady got him a job. He's even let him crash at his own house. Hell, next week, AB's probably going to be out there hawking TB12 plant-based protein.

Still, that wasn't the craziest outfit from yesterday. That award goes to Miami quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, who, apparently, showed up to practice yesterday wearing some Daisy dukes. Now, I say apparently because the good news is, I haven't seen the video. The bad news is, I'm about to see it for the first time right now. Give me a second to prepare.

All right, Chris, I'm prepared. Let me have it. Oh, snap! Yo, I didn't think he had no pants on at all. Hey, he look pale, so like it all match.

In a weird way, he look like he auditioning for a "WAP" music video. Yo, I knew Miami was a party city. But come on, man, you going to practice, not the club. That tooshie is a king of diamonds. [LAUGHS] I don't know what I'm saying.
