The Rush: Rams defense deals a blow to Tom Brady and the Bucs in Tampa

The Rams get a big win in Tampa as Tom Brady gets picked off in the final minutes, an MRI revealed a torn ACL, MCL and structural damage for QB Joe Burrow, who joins the growing “torn ACL club” that nobody wants to be in and COVID continues to wreak havoc on the country at large and the NFL, which sent a memo to teams outlining new guidelines in attempts to curb the virus.

- Caught, throwing acres out of the backfield for the touchdown, for the Rams.

JARED QUAY: The Rams-Bucs game made history on Monday night, but not in the way you would expect. An all-Black crew officiated at an NFL game for the first time ever. Yo, it's 2020. How long the NFL been around?

- Sorry it took so long.

JARED QUAY: I'm not here for excuses, Goodell. Let's get to the game. Brady's Bucs had a chance to pull out a W in the final minutes of the game, but the Rams' defense had other plans.

- It's Brady over an outstretched hand, and it's too far.

JARED QUAY: Bucs did do a lot of good things though, like this interception.

- Called time out. That pass is intercepted.

JARED QUAY: And the row boat celebration. I mean, that's team participation.

- Rowing the boat.

JARED QUAY: And this baller move where Tom Brady caught his own pass and threw it out like a bouquet.

GISELE BUNDCHEN: My husband cannot [BLEEP] throw the ball and catch the bal at the same time.

JARED QUAY: Apparently he can, Gisele. Yes, he can. The NFL has been the king of American sports for a long time, but the castle is under attack. Star quarterbacks have been dropping like flies, and the latest to go is none other than Joe Burrow. The Bengals rookie royally messed up his knee on Sunday and has a long road towards recovery, but at least he's in good company.

- Oh, OK.

JARED QUAY: I mean you can fill an entire Pro Bowl with the guys who toured the ACL just this season.

- It's brutal.

JARED QUAY: Unfortunately there is another problem plaguing the league as well.

- It was COVID-related.

JARED QUAY: The NFL is stepping up its rules aimed at curbing COVID. Now everyone on the sideline has to wear a mask.

- COVID-safe fashion.

JARED QUAY: And teams will be limited with the amount of people in the training facility and the traveling party.

- We can work from home.

JARED QUAY: This comes after the Ravens, Vikings, and Browns were recently impacted by the virus. Myles Garrett caught COVID, and when Baker Mayfield was asked about the defense's performance on Sunday, he said--

- They knew that Myles was out. They knew they had to get funky on the field, just like an old batch of collard green. It's just, they play well together.

JARED QUAY: OK, Baker. I see you working out your lip sync battle skills. I'ma leave y'all with a question. Who wins in a hypothetical match between the all injured team and all COVID team? I mean, that would be better than the Pro Bowl. That's what we really need to get, because ACL is taking us out, and the virus is taking us out. We need a vaccine for injuries. Can we get that?
