Behind their stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, the Celtics protected home court in game 3 of the NBA Finals with a 116-100 win over the Warriors. Buccaneers QB Tom Brady dyed his hair orange for a good cause. And Cooper Kupp got a well deserved contract extension, but Jared ponders how the Rams are still operating within the salary cap?

Video Transcript

- Quickly ahead. Horford running up the floor. Now throws it back to Tatum. Tatum to Brown. Brown, the block.

JARED QUAY: Game 3 of the NBA Finals is in the books, and it was a physical affair. Back on their home court, the Celtics jumped ahead behind Jaylen Brown's hot start.

- A beautiful back back cut with Smart.

JARED QUAY: And they took a 12 point lead into halftime. But the Warriors turned in one of their trademark third quarters behind lights out shooting from the Splash Bros.

- Long 3-pointer. It's good. And the foul. Steph Curry with a chance for a 4-point play.

JARED QUAY: And even took the lead briefly in the third. But at the end of the day, the Celtics were bigger and faster, with 7 blocks and 15 offensive rebounds, giving them a 116 to 100 win and a 2 to 1 finals lead. Maybe it's just me, but the finals seem to be getting more feisty by the game. I expect a full-out brawl in game 4.

A lot of people might hate Tom Brady, but how can you hate him after this? He took part in a Buccaneers event called Cut and Color for a Cure. Yep, my man got his hair dyed orange. The event was to raise money for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Brady wasn't content with just getting his hair dyed though. He decided to play stylist with backup quarterback Kyle Trask too.

It's a great cause, and it's awesome to see Brady getting involved. But I think Tom's got to keep the hair color because who doesn't want a guy who looks like a Muppet playing quarterback? Congrats to Cooper Kupp, who just capped off one hell of a year with a brand new, three year $75 million extension with the Los Angeles Rams.

- (SINGING) Celebration.

JARED QUAY: Kupp was an All-Pro NFL Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl MVP, and now he's rich.

- Cha-ching.

JARED QUAY: Which he probably was before, but he's richer.

- Cha-cha-ching.

JARED QUAY: I mean, he plays in LA and [BLEEP] is expensive, so he'll need every penny of that contract, I'm sure. But I'm happy for him though. And I'm happy for the Rams too. But let's be honest, where the hell are they getting all this money?

They just paid Aaron Donald. They got one of the highest paid quarters on the roster. I mean, Matt Stafford's making six times what he used to make. They got to be operating under a different salary cap than everyone else because it makes no sense. How do they got 52 of the highest paid players in the NFL on their team, huh?
