The Rush: Bucks’ Giannis and Middleton go nuts vs. Nets, Oklahoma wins 5th WCWS title

The Bucks beat the Nets in game three, Utah takes another one and some foul ball craziness.

Video Transcript

- 16 seconds remaining.

- And deciding not to call a timeout.

- Holiday, spin move, gets inside, lands good. It's good, and the Bucks go up by 1 with 11.4 remaining.

JARED QUAY: Game three between the Nets and Bucks was all Milwaukee, but only in the first quarter. Khris Middleton and Giannis were the only two Bucks to score in the first [? game, ?] outscoring the Nets 30 to 11, winning their first game of the series.

- Oh, once again the slam.

JARED QUAY: And thank you, Jrue Holiday, a dude who only finished a game with 9 points on 4 of 14 shooting, but ultimately hits the biggest shot of the ball game with 11.4 seconds left. Holiday looked like a Sears washing machine in the midst of a spin cycle. Props to KD and Kyrie and the Hardenless Nets for digging themselves out of a monster hole in the first quarter, but clearly it wasn't enough.

Khris Middleton and the Greek Freak finished with 68 of the Bucks 86 total points, which is funny, considering Milwaukee shot just 26.9% from the field in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, the rest of the team decided to sip on some Capri Suns court side and pick their noses for four quarters. Fear the dear, or fear Jrue Holiday with 11.4 seconds left. I mean, that was a pretty good shot.

- Holiday, spin move, gets inside, lands good.

JARED QUAY: This year's Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert, and the Utah Jazz drop the Clipps in game two, winning their sixth straight contest and taking a commanding 2-0 series lead. Utah is currently playing like one of those Jazz bands you see on Frenchmen street? In New Orleans.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

I'd say they'd be like a Jazz band in Salt Lake City, but I don't think that's the music that Mitt Romney is playing on his Spotify. Two things here. The Jazz actually looked like the number one seed in the West, while playoff P and the Clippers are operating like Windows Vista did back in the day. I'm not sure what Steve Ballmer regrets more, purchasing the Clipps, trading for Paul George, or the release of Windows Vista.

Yeah, I'm going in on Windows Vista because it's not good.

- True story.

JARED QUAY: Game three will take place on Saturday in the City of Angels, otherwise known as Los Angeles. Is it worth it? Well, if you told me to eat some bugs for $13, I'd say yeah. But in the context of what you're about to see, no, it really isn't. Check out this video of two grown men going after a foul ball like their two seven-year-olds who just saw some dude in a Superman costume.

The guy in the Angels shirt tries to catch the ball. It ends up hitting him in the chin, and then he hits his head on a table. You could say he's having his best day ever. Mind you, this is all for a ball that's probably worth $6 not including tax, and since it was hit, it's probably worth even less. You know, depreciation. Grown men going after baseballs, now that's America's favorite pastime.

Speaking of a great effort, check out this play from the Women's College World Series finale.

- --come far, dives right--

JARED QUAY: That was Oklahoma's Nicole Mendes trying to end the game against number 10 Florida State. She ultimately didn't make the catch, but lucky for her the game ended one pitch later. The top ranked Sooners captured their fifth women's College World Series title in program history, winning three of those championships in the last six seasons.

The video looks very painful. On the inside, we know you're a true warrior for even going for that, because I know, if I was on that field, I'm sorry, but we might just lose that game. I'm not running into that wall.
