Ruben Douglas, Danny Granger, Kendall Williams named to Mountain West's 25th Anniversary Team

Mar. 13—A national scoring champion, a two-time All-conference first team selection and future NBA All-Star and a Mountain West Player of the Year are the three Lobos among the 25 players named Wednesday to the Mountain West conference's 25th-anniversary team.

The list was compiled by a committee established by the conference that is comprised of members from all current 11 full-time members.

—Ruben Douglas played at UNM for three seasons — 2000-2001 through 2002-03. He was the national scoring champion in 2003, averaging 28.0 points per game. He ranks sixth on UNM's all-time scoring list with 1,782 points in 81 games.

—Danny Granger played at UNM for the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons, leading the Lobos to the 2005 league tournament title and the NCAA Tournament. Granger was a first-team All-Mountain West selection in both of his seasons with the Lobos before going on to NBA stardom.

—Kendall Williams is one of only two Mountain West players to win both Mountain West Freshman of the Year (2010-11 season) and Mountain West Player of the Year (2013-13 season), joining Andrew Bogut from former member Utah. Williams is No. 5 all-time on UNM's scoring list (1,813 points) and also ranks in the top five all-time in assists, free throws and steals.
