Last week, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth decided to share brand-new official portraits (on the same exact day). On Friday, the Sussexes revealed a new black-and-white portrait of themselves in celebration of their special edition of TIME100 Talks. Around the exact same time, the Canadian government released an elegant portrait of the monarch which was reportedly taken last year at Windsor Castle.
On Monday, we learned that Prince Harry is reportedly the prankster of the royal fam. In his novel, Long Live the Queen! 13 Rules for Living from Britain's Longest Reigning Monarch, royal author Bryan Kozlowski reveals the Duke of Sussex once pranked his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, by recording a silly outgoing voicemail message on her personal cell (who knew she had a personal device?!).
Kate Middleton (along with her husband Prince William) paid a visit to London Tuesday to view the final results of one of her biggest projects to date—Hold Still. For the occasion, she paired a gorgeous red coat from Alexander McQueen with a brand-new handbag from London designer Grace Haan. Not to mention, the bag has quite a backstory.
We also learned this week that Queen Elizabeth had quite the demand for Prince Philip before their wedding day. In his book, Bryan Kozlowski also reveals that Her Majesty had made it clear she was not a fan of her future hubby’s smoking habit and insisted that he quit before they officially became man and wife. And according to the book, it worked.
This week, Prince William followed in the footsteps of his late mother, Princess Diana. On Wednesday, the Duke of Cambridge, 38, stopped by The Royal Marsden in honor of the building of the Trust’s Oak Cancer Centre. The appearance comes 30 years after Princess Diana paid a similar visit to the iconic hospital. The royal family documented the moment by sharing a slideshow of photos on the Cambridges’ joint Instagram account, @kensingtonroyal.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (finally!) launched an online destination for their new non-profit organization, Archewell. Naturally, royal (and non-royal) fans are already freaking out on Twitter. The Archewell website is fairly simple, featuring a basic homepage that encourages visitors to provide their email address, so they can receive updates about the charity.

Of course, KFC wasted no time in sharing a photo of the moment.
