Hearts defender Kye Rowles played the full 90 minutes as Australia cruised to a 5-0 victory over Lebanon in a World Cup qualifier.

Kusini Yengi put the Socceroos up early on, a Bassel Jradi own-goal made it two just after half-time, before a Craig Goodwin double either side of John Iredale's strike made sure of the win.

Rowles' Hearts team-mate Nathaniel Atkinson was an unused substitute in Canberra.

Graham Arnold's side now have four wins from four in their bid to reach the 2026 competition, and sit top of their group, five points clear of Palestine in second.
