There’s a new It Girl on TikTok and her name is Alix Earle. Her following grew by over 1 million people on social media in December alone. People especially love her signature GRWM posts with honest commentary on everything from the parties she’s attending to her breast augmentation. Toward the end of her makeup routine, before doing her mascara, Earle applies lip liner and a gloss. The gloss changes from time to time, but one consistent product Earle uses is the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm in Rose.

After watching a slew of her GRWM videos, I knew I had to get the Tarte balm. It’s so pretty! And since trying it, I can confirm it’s a real winner. The balm isn’t sticky at all, and I love that it goes on more like a lipstick but looks like a super shiny gloss.
Tarte describes it as a hybrid gloss balm. It instantly plumps the look of your lips, smooths lip lines, moisturizes and it smells like coconut. It’s available in 11 colors, but Rose looks good on pretty much everyone. It’s a soft pink beige that only enhances the natural lip color.

The brand also makes a plumping version of the balm, and it comes in a similar tint called Primrose. Of course, I had to get that one too, because I love a tingly plumping gloss. In addition to the OG, I’ll be keeping this one in my handbag for a while.
