The Minnesota Vikings have placed rookie first-round pick Justin Jefferson on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Vikings confirmed on Monday they had played four players on the list, with their number 22 overall selection among them.
Wide receiver Jefferson racked up over 1,500 yards and scored 18 touchdowns on 111 receptions for LSU as they won the National Championship in 2019.
The new reserve list category is for players who have either tested positive for coronavirus or come into close contact with an infected individual.
Brake Brandel, Brian Cole II and Tyler Higby were the other Minnesota players designated to the list on Monday.
Earlier, the Vikings revealed trainer Eric Sugarman had returned a positive test for COVID-19.
