Ronda Rousey fed up with WWE: 'F--- these fans, dude'

Ronda Rousey seemed to really enjoy her time performing for WWE.

Except for one thing.

Those “f---ing ungrateful fans.”

Her words. Not ours.

‘F--- these fans, dude’

The UFC icon turned professional wrestler spoke with Steve-O of “Jackass” fame on his “Wild Ride” podcast recently and was candid about her experience with fans of fake fighting.

“What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of f--- ing ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?” Rousey said. “The thing is, I love performing. I love the girls. I love being out there.

“But, at the end of the day, I was just like, ‘F--- these fans, dude.’ My family loves me. They appreciate me. I want all of my energy to go into them.”

Wow. She’s either really embracing the heel turn or is genuinely done with WWE.

Rousey’s run from UFC to WWE

Rousey was a regular on the WWE circuit from 2018-19 following her trailblazing career as the first U.S. woman to win an Olympic medal in Judo, the first female fighter to sign with UFC and its first female champion. She was one of UFC’s biggest draws during her run of dominance in the early 2010s that saw her successfully defend her bantamweight championship in six straight fights.

Her 2015 loss to Holly Holm marked the beginning of the end of her UFC career, but her legacy was secure as she became the first woman inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.

From there, she transitioned into WWE, where she borrowed the persona of late professional wrestling icon Rowdy Roddy Piper, dubbing her self as Rowdy Ronda.

It wasn’t all bad

She seems to have enjoyed the spectacle and friendships she made there.

“I love the WWE,” Rousey told Steve-O. “I had such a great time. I love all the girls in the locker room. Running out there and having fake fights for fun is just the best thing. I love choreography. I love acting. I love theatre. Live theater and some of the last forms of live theatre.”

Just not the grind.

“If I did all of the live shows, I was only home a day and a half a week,” Rousey continued. “It was just not worth it for my family because we were eliminating all of our expenses and living this lifestyle, we didn’t need it. We didn’t need the money.”

With some of the fans turning on her, it sounds like Rousey’s close to being done with WWE. But she’s still under contract through 2021. And she didn’t rule out a part-time role in her conversation with Steve-O.
