After weeks of speculation, Romelu Lukaku is indeed leaving Manchester United for Inter Milan.

Sky Sports reports United has accepted an $88 million fee for the wantaway forward, who’s been absent from training this week and instead spending time in his native Belgium.

Inter Milan tweeted out confirmation on Thursday morning, with Lukaku standing in a jersey and repeating the club slogan “it’s not for everyone.”

Earlier this summer, the Red Devils rejected a $65 million initial offer from Inter, instead wanting around the $91 million they paid Everton for Lukaku two summers ago. But the improved bid was too much to pass up.

Lukaku scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for United, but never quite became the dominant striker the Red Devils envisioned. He now heads to Inter to play for Antonio Conte, and it figures to be a good situation for him; Conte has long desired his signature, and Serie A is favorable to big, physical strikers.

United, meanwhile, is left without a primary striker and will have to rely on a step forward from Marcus Rashford, a step up from Anthony Martial or a step into past form from Alexis Sanchez for goals. The January window beckons, and the Red Devils recouped plenty of money, but for now United has more questions than answers in the attack.
