Alabama will have to enter this game with a different mindset than they have in recent years. Sam Pittman has this team moving at a fast pace and has been competitive all season long. Despite dropping a few games and fluctuating between ranked and unranked, the Razorbacks should not be overlooked. This will be a solid test for both sides of the ball for the Crimson Tide before heading into the Iron Bowl, and potentially the SEC Championship game against Georgia.

Arkansas will be no cakewalk for the Tide this year. Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks are a hard-nosed team that plays a physical brand of football. I am expecting a hard-hitting close game for about two and half quarters of action. Then Alabama’s talent and depth will prove to be too much for Arkansas and the Tide will pull away late.

The annual matchup between Alabama and Arkansas has proven to be a snore-fest in recent years. Last season, for example, the Crimson Tide beat Arkansas 52-3 to end the 2020 regular season.

This year could be different. With Alabama’s defense nowhere near as strong as the norm, the Hogs have the weapons to penetrate and attack. The Alabama offense, on the other hand, still appears to be figuring things out, which isn’t a great sign 11 games into the season. Alabama will still be too much for Arkansas, just expect a decent game for much of the contest.
