Rockford man arrested, charged with kidnapping, sexual assault
A Rockford man faces multiple charges after being arrested Wednesday.
Dionta Lashley, 23, has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated criminal sexual assault, unlawful restraint and endangering the life or health of a child.
Rockford police said they were called to investigate a report of sexual assault on Dec. 12.
Throughout the investigation, Lashley was identified as the suspect, police said..
Lashley, who knew the victim, was taken into custody in Belvidere on Jan. 25.
Police did not provide any additional details regarding the alleged kidnapping.
