Rockets at Spurs: Live stream, how to watch, TV channel, start time

After signing second-year sharpshooter Armoni Brooks to a multi-year contract, the Houston Rockets must waive or trade at least one player by Monday’s NBA deadline for 2021-22 regular-season rosters.

Don’t expect the preseason finale at San Antonio to play a large role in determining the odd man out, though. With a young roster and coming off back-to-back exhibition losses, Houston head coach Stephen Silas says he is looking at Friday as a potential dress rehearsal for the games that count (which start next Wednesday at Minnesota).

“It will be more rotation and less roster spots,” Silas said potential decisions that could be influenced by Friday’s performance. “Depending on who’s available, since it’s our last chance before we play Minnesota, I want to play it as close to a regular season rotation as possible.”

Here’s when you should tune in to see Tuesday’s game:

  • Date: Friday, Oct. 15

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. Central

  • TV Channel: AT&T SportsNet Southwest

  • Live stream: fuboTV in usual Houston markets (watch for free)

Probable starting lineups

Houston Rockets (1-2 in preseason)

San Antonio Spurs (2-2 in preseason)

Veteran guard Eric Gordon (left ankle soreness) and big man Daniel Theis (rest) are each listed by the Rockets as out for Friday’s game. Theis had dealt with a sore left knee earlier in the week. For San Antonio, Zach Collins (left ankle stress fracture), Tre Jones (left ankle sprain), and Jock Landale (concussion protocol) are all listed as out, while Lonnie Walker IV (left quad contusion) is questionable to play.
