Former Knicks two-way player Kenny Wooten has been claimed off waivers by the Houston Rockets, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Wooten earned NBA G-League All Defensive Team honors in his first season with Westchester, as he averaged 7.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game over 27 contests (19 starts).

The 22-year-old big man out of the University of Oregon went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, but was invited to play on the Knicks' summer league team. He then earned an Exhibit 10 contract with the team, and was eventually assigned to the G-League on Oct. 19, 2019.

He signed a two-way contract with the Knicks on Jan. 14, but never played an NBA game after having to get thumb surgery in late February.

Wooten was waived by the Knicks on Thursday, Nov. 19. He now joins a Rockets team that played predominately small ball last season without a true big man, but has since changed their coaching staff and front office.
