According to Vacchiano, the Jets had talks with the New England Patriots about Bell before releasing him, though it is unclear if they're in the Bell hunt right now.
Trailing the Ravens 27-0 on Sunday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor sent his field goal team on the field with 37 seconds left to avoid a shutout and lose 27-3. Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale was not amused. Asked today for his reaction to that field goal, Martindale said Taylor knows his reaction because he was screaming at Taylor across the field for what Martindale considered a bush league move.

The Tennessee Titans notched their fourth win of the season on Tuesday night in impressive fashion against the Buffalo Bills, but perhaps the most memorable moment from the game came when Derrick Henry delivered a mean stiff-arm to Buffalo Bills cornerback, Josh Norman. Thanks to “Inside the NFL” we got a look and listen at how Titans players reacted to Henry tossing Norman into another zip code.

Rajon Rondo will opt out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers to become an unrestricted free agent, BasketballNews.com learned on Thursday. Rondo's player option is worth $2,692,991 next season.
Westbrook's future in Houston, where he still has three years and more than $130 million left on his deal, is cloudy after an odd fit with James Harden and the continued disappearance of his three-point shot. According to SNY's Ian Begley, one team that would be interested in Westbrook if he becomes available would be none other than the New York Knicks, looking to kickstart some fan interest as the cross-town Brooklyn Nets become the hottest attraction in the Big Apple. This hypothetical move, of course, would bring Westbrook into the Eastern Conference for the first time in his career, and specifically into the Atlantic Division, where he would be a regular opponent for the Sixers.

The sale was a multi-year effort for Popovich, who first asked $4.5 million in 2018 before eventually trimming the tag to $3.1 million over the summer. The 2.6-acre spread is tucked in a gated neighborhood within a gated neighborhood, so there's plenty of privacy.

But their biggest move was adding the best available player in unrestricted free agency, defenseman Alex Pietrangelo (seven years, $61.6 million).

Tomase: Preparing to say goodbye to these important Sox figures originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston If Chaim Bloom's Red Sox tenure unfolds as planned, someday we'll marvel at how far the organization came on his watch. His inaugural roster just delivered a last-place finish and the fourth-worst record in baseball, so when it comes to players who could depart this winter, the short answer is pretty much all of them. Outside of third baseman Rafael Devers, shortstop Xander Bogaerts, and right fielder Alex Verdugo, the Red Sox are depressingly short on building blocks, though they hope that starts to change this offseason.

The first thing Jeanie Buss felt when Game 6 of the NBA Finals neared its close was overwhelmed. “I'm not a good public speaker, so I was worried I was gonna have a horrible case of stage fright and not find the words,” Buss said a day later. “Watching them celebrate together, that team is as close as any team I've ever seen.”
The US Women's National Team released its latest roster, and some big names were not included for October training camp. Morgan told Insider that it was "the right decision" and that head coach Vlatko Andonovski called each player to assure them that the move was "not performance-driven in any way."
