River View Board of Education notes

WARSAW — The board of education of River View Local Schools recently met.

Donations for October totaled $4,828.05, including $2,000 from Gemini Sports Cards for overdue lunch accounts.

The substitute teacher list from the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center for November and an expansion of substitute teachers relating to Senate Bill 1 were approved. Changes to the school calendar included a two hour early dismissal on Nov. 24, Jan. 7, March 18 and May 6.

Kylee Metz and Amy Johnson will be ticket-takers for the 2021 to 2022 sports season. Superintendent Charles Rinkes will have five vacation days carryover to 2022 and be paid for 10 unused vacation days.

Donna Donvenbarger will go from four hours to 5.5 hours per day as a custodian at Warsaw Elementary School. Allison Ackley, Amber Latham and Jessica Miskimens will be paraprofessional substitutes.

A staff member at Conesville Elementary was approved for family medical leave. Lisa Lupher, Shelly Webb, Mark Hogue, Janie Sarchet, JoEllen Bordenkircher, Andrea Walsh and Tom Lyne were approved for an after-school program at Kenne and Warsaw elementary schools for $25 an hour. Emily Barnette will be a paraprofessional at Keene Elementary for an after-school program at $14 an hour.

Connie Pickett will retire on Aug. 10, 2022, from Warsaw Elementary after 21 years of service. Tyler Colburn was approved as student council adviser at River View Junior High School. A seventh-grade student was approved for home instruction for the rest of the school year with Ashley Storms as instructor.
