When one of the nation's elite 2019 quarterbacks made his way to Norman, Okla. on Monday and it's safe to say that Spencer Rattler came away impressed with the look of things under Lincoln Riley. The Sooners have been after Rattler since early in his career so the change from Bob Stoops to Riley in recent weeks seems to have had little effect on the Phoenix Pinnacle product.
"I've known Lincoln since (my) freshman year. He offered me when I was 14," Rattler said. "I've had a great relationship with him.
"I love how he is (now) the head coach."
The visit was Rattler's first to Norman and during his time on campus he had a chance to spend some time around Oklahoma's current quarterback.
"I hung out with Baker (Mayfield) for about 15 minutes. I talked to some other players too," he said. "Baker was just saying positive stuff about the program and everything."

With time around Riley, Mayfield, and even Stoops himself (pictured above) perhaps it shouldn't be surprising to hear what stood out to Rattler during his trip.
"Everything," he said. "Everything about the campus, the coaches, the facilities were perfect.
"It was amazing. I loved it."
