Dodgers starter Rich Hill left Wednesday night’s start against the Giants with left forearm discomfort. He managed only one inning and was removed when something wasn’t right while warming up for the second.
Hill, who said after the game that he’s had elbow tightness in his two previous starts, does not think it’s serious, but there’s no telling until after the scan, of course.
Despite losing Hill, the Dodgers went on to win easily last night. They were likewise without him early in the season and weathered that just fine too. Given the easy go of it Los Angeles is having in the NL West this year, the priority will undoubtedly be doing whatever they can to make sure Hill is healthy late in the season rather than err on the side of riskiness with his health in June.
