The NBA postponed all playoff games on Wednesday and Thursday after the Milwaukee Bucks led a boycott of their Game 5 match against the Orlando Magic. Several other teams followed suit, including teams in MLB and MLS.
The NHL did hold a "moment of reflection" for Jacob Blake before two games on Wednesday night, but decided against postponing games.
Jacob Blake was shot in the back several times by police as he was trying to get into his car, while reports say three of his children sat in the car and watched. Now Blake's family says he is paralyzed from the waist down. Police were initially called to the scene for a domestic disturbance, and reports say Blake was trying to break up a fight between two women when the officers arrived.
