Report: John Wall planning to undergo heel surgery that would sideline him for six-to-eight months

The Washington Wizards’ poor season just got worse. Star guard John Wall is reportedly planning to have heel surgery that will sideline him for six-to-eight months, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Wall’s injury was originally reported by Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

The 28-year-old Wall missed Friday’s game against the Chicago Bulls in order to see a foot specialist. Now, Wall has reportedly decided to undergo the procedure, meaning his season is over.

Wall is in the midst of yet another solid season with the Wizards. In 32 games, Wall is averaging 20.7 points and 8.7 assists per game.

The Wizards have struggled despite Wall’s strong numbers. The team is just 13-23, and currently sits 11th in the Eastern Conference.
