Report: Zaire Wade, Dwyane's son, expected to join Utah Jazz’s G League team

The son of former NBA player Dwyane Wade is set to sign a deal and play in the NBA G League, The Athletic reports.

Zaire Wade is expected to join the Utah Jazz’s affiliate Salt Lake City Stars. The elder Wade became a part-owner of the Jazz in April.

The Stars open their season on November 5.

Wade is listed at 6-3 and 170 pounds and was rated as a three-star prospect by several recruiting services. He played at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, graduating in 2020.

During his last season in high school, Wade's teammates included Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Brandon Boston, who was picked in second round of the 2021 draft by the Los Angeles Clippers and Ziaire Williams, a 2021 first-round selection of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Dwyane Wade won three NBA titles with the Miami Heat and was a 13-time NBA All-Star before retiring after the 2018-2019 season.
