Report: Washington would trade Dwayne Haskins for 'right price' originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

With the NFL Trade Deadline coming in just two days a new report shows that the Washington Football Team might be willing to deal quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

NFL Network reported:

When Washington benched QB Dwayne Haskins, it started the clock on his potential departure from the organization. While the WFT hasn't shopped its former first-round pick, this much is evident: If a team is looking for a high-ceiling QB to develop, Washington would part with him for the right price. As of now, that market has been relatively quiet.

It's hard to know what the right price will be.

Washington drafted Haskins with the 15th overall pick in 2019, and it would be fairly unprecedented to give up on a first-round passer so quickly. He's started just 11 games for Washington.

At the same time, it seems clear that head coach Ron Rivera has moved on from Haskins. After starting the first four games of 2020, Rivera sent Haskins to the bench in favor of Kyle Allen. Haskins didn't even get the backup QB role, he was moved to third-string, and veteran Alex Smith took over the backup role.

Stay tuned. The clock is ticking.
