Tiger Woods on Thursday committed to his first post-Masters tournament, entering next week's Wells Fargo Championship.

The Golf Channel reports that Woods will be making his first appearance at Quail Hollow since 2012. The announcement was not necessarily a surprise, as many assumed Woods would want a start under his belt before teeing it up at the Players Championship, which begins May 10. Woods has made six appearances in Charlotte, boasting a win in 2007 and two other top-five finishes.

In six starts on tour this season, Woods has made five cuts, highlighted by a T-2 finish at the Valspar Championship and T-5 at the Bay Hill Invitational. He joins a Wells Fargo field that features Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Phil Mickelson.
