Report: Potential dates and times for Titans-Steelers reschedule revealed

According to a new report, we have the potential dates and times for the rescheduling of the Week 4 game between the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers in the wake of the former’s COVID-19 outbreak.

Per Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the NFL is planning to move the game to either Monday at 5 p.m. EDT or Tuesday at 6 or 7 p.m. EDT. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS.

Marchand also adds that the NFL’s preference is for the game to take place on Monday for competitive balance reasons.

Assuming the Titans get back into their facility on Saturday, as was originally reported, having the game on Monday would leave Tennessee with one day to practice. Should the game happen on Tuesday, the Titans would get in a pair of practices ahead of it.

The issue with it being on Tuesday is that both teams would have an even shorter week to prepare for their next games in Week 5, and the Steelers would have yet another day in between their last practice and the game.

Either way, Pittsburgh can’t be happy with the reschedule, but then again we all knew this could happen with the season being played in the middle of a pandemic.
