Report: Patriots re-sign defensive lineman Carl Davis

The New England Patriots annoiunced they re-signed defensive lineman Carl Davis on Monday.

Davis was a third round pick back in 2015. he was signed off of the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad last October. He did not play a ton as he only played in three games. Concussion issues were a problem for him for most of last season. Now, he will have a chance to compete on the New England Patriots defensive line.

With the signings of Matt Judon and Davon Godchaux, Davis will certainly have competition on the defensive line.

In what has been a busy day for New England to this point, Davis adds additional depth to a defense that has that has many talented players coming back next year.
