Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap suffered a broken toe on his right foot on Friday night in their 113-107 loss to the Charlotte Hornets, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Millsap left the game in the third quarter after he landed awkwardly contesting a shot from Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Kidd-Gilchrist drew the foul on the play, and Millsap could be seen walking in pain after the play to the bench. He did not return. He finished the night with 16 points, three rebounds and two blocks.
The 13-year veteran is averaging 13.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game so far this season, his second with the Nuggets. The 33-year-old missed significant time last season after a wrist injury, too.
Millsap will be evaluated when the team gets back in Denver, which should give them a better idea of a timeline for his return.
