What is Harry's trade value? NFL exec gives surprising estimation originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
Likely not much, at least according to one NFL executive.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler tweeted Thursday that he spoke to a league exec who estimated Harry's trade value to be a low draft pick.
Harry has played poorly in his two pro seasons. After a difficult rookie campaign that was hampered by injuries, the 23-year-old wide receiver struggled to make a notable impact in Year 2. He tallied 33 receptions for 309 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games last season.
Any team in need of wide receiver depth might as well take a chance on Harry if the price is merely a sixth-round pick, or something similar. Harry hasn't lived up to expectations, but in a different offense with the right pieces around him, he could become a serviceable wide receiver.
It's certainly not ideal for the Patriots to spend a first-round pick on a player at any position and then trade him for very little or just release him two years later. But sometimes you just have to cut your losses, and it's probably best for both the Patriots and Harry to go in a different direction before the 2021 season.
