Earlier this week it was reported that veteran Tyreke Evans worked out for the Brooklyn Nets organization in hopes of joining the team in free agency.

HoopsRumors reporter JD Shaw announced that along with G-League talents Justin King and Justin Tillman, 13 year veteran Tyreke Evans took place in a Golden State Warriors free-agent mini camp. A source told Shaw that Evans also worked out for Brooklyn in hopes of joining the roster.

Evans was incredible in his rookie season, averaging 20 points and five assists per game and bringing home the honors of Rookie of the Year. He has been an incredibly efficient shooter throughout his career, hitting 44 percent from the field.

Evans was banned from the NBA in 2019 for violating the league’s anti-drug policy. He was “dismissed and disqualified” after testing positive for a prohibited substances.

Evans joined the NBA again by signing with the Bucks affiliate G-League team, the Herd. He signed with the Herd only a few months ago, and averaged eight points and three boards per contest.

He was recently waived.
