Report: Jazz guard Mike Conley could miss multiple weeks after re-aggravating hamstring injury

Mike Conley’s return to the Utah Jazz didn’t last long. Conley reaggravated his hamstring during Tuesday night’s 109-102 win over the Orlando Magic. The 32-year-old Conley could miss multiple weeks due to the issue, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Conley originally tweaked his hamstring during a Dec. 2 game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He missed five games while rehabbing from the injury, but felt good enough to return Tuesday.

That turned out to be a mistake as Conley reinjured himself 19 minutes into his return. He went 2-of-8 from the field and finished the contest with 7 points.

While Conley could only miss a few games, the team will likely play it safe with him considering how quickly the injury flared up Tuesday.

At 16-11, the Jazz currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference. The team went 3-2 in the five games Conley missed in early December.

They’ll need to prove they can keep up that pace over a longer stretch of games now that Conley could miss multiple weeks.
