Report: Giants’ Azeez Ojulari expected to play vs. Eagles
New York Giants linebacker Azeez Ojulari (quad) was the only player given a designation when the team released their final injury report on Thursday. He was listed as questionable.
Ojulari was forced to exit a Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings last week after taking a stiff knee to his thigh. He was sent for testing, which revealed no additional damage other than the bruise.
“It’s just so terrible,” Ojulari told the New York Post. “I can’t ever finish the game. I’m so frustrated. It’s just so tough. I’m happy we won, though. Gives me another opportunity.”
Head coach Brian Daboll initially listed Ojulari as “day-to-day” but he was able to practice on a limited basis all week. And now, it seems, he’ll be healthy enough to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday night.
#Giants pass rusher Azeez Ojulari (questionable, quad) is expected to play tonight vs. #Eagles, per source. Ojulari had 5.5 sacks in seven regular season games.
