Report: Mark Ingram joins Texans on one-year deal originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

It didn't take long for Mark Ingram to find a new place to play after getting released by the Ravens in January.

Ingram has agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Texans, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 31-year-old will join David Johnson and (as of now) Deshaun Watson in the Houston backfield.

In just two seasons in Baltimore, he became one of the leaders in the Ravens locker room, proving to be a perfect partner for Lamar Jackson in an unprecedented rushing offense.

Ingram ran for 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2019 but then fell off in 2020 due to injuries and the emergence of rookie JK Dobbins. Now with the Texans, Ingram can work in tandem with Johnson to form an experienced running back group for new head coach David Culley.
