Report: Former Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau fired by Minnesota Wild

Bruce Boudreau is reportedly out as head coach for the Minnesota Wild, Elliotte Friedman reports.

The firing comes after the Wild (27-23-7) fell to the New York Rangers (29-23-4) in a shoot out Thursday. 

Assistant coach Dean Evason will take over as head coach for the Wild in the interim, Michael Russo reports.

The Capitals will face the Wild for the first time this season in Minnesota, March 1.
