Report: Entertainment execs want to make a TV show based on Chad Powers

Retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning went viral earlier this week for his portrayal of “Chad Powers,” a 26-year-old Penn State hopeful.

With the help of some Hollywood makeup artists, Manning transformed into Powers and attended a PSU walk-on tryout. The entire production was well done and undeniably hilarious.

But might more be on the horizon for Manning? Or more specifically, Chad Powers?

TMZ reports that Omaha Productions, the Peyton Manning-owned company that helped create Powers, has been “flooded” with requests to produce more Chad Powers content. Some even want to make a television series based on the character.

The clip has already been viewed millions of times across the internet … and our sources tell us Omaha Productions, owned by Peyton Manning, has been flooded by people in the entertainment industry who wish to work with Manning/Powers.

One of the ideas … a “Ted Lasso”-type show. Of course, Jason Sudeikis plays Lasso … an American football coach hired to manage an English soccer club.

Chad Powers merchandise has already hit the internet, so why not take things to the next level? Given the early reception to Powers, a television show or limited mini-series could very well be successful.

Think big, go big.
