Report: Eagles hiring Ronell Williams to position of nickel backs coach

The Eagles are adding a local collegiate star to the defensive staff, hiring Chester, Pennslyvania native Ronell Williams as the team’s new Nickel backs coach.

A 2010 West Chester University graduate and Division II All-American, Williams will join Sean Desai here in Philadelphia after spending time as the Bears’ defensive quality control coach.

In 2016, Williams was a volunteer linebacker coach for Widener under defensive coordinator Bill Shuey, a former Eagles’ linebacker coach who coached and developed Williams at West Chester.
