Report: Eagles hiring Ronell Williams to position of nickel backs coach
The Eagles are adding a local collegiate star to the defensive staff, hiring Chester, Pennslyvania native Ronell Williams as the team’s new Nickel backs coach.
Per source, Ronell Williams, who has been defensive quality control coach for the Bears since 2019, is headed to the Philadelphia Eagles as their nickels coach.

A 2010 West Chester University graduate and Division II All-American, Williams will join Sean Desai here in Philadelphia after spending time as the Bears’ defensive quality control coach.
In 2016, Williams was a volunteer linebacker coach for Widener under defensive coordinator Bill Shuey, a former Eagles’ linebacker coach who coached and developed Williams at West Chester.
