Report: CJ Miles to see a specialist for his injured wrist, could require season-ending surgery

Veteran wing CJ Miles, who was already ruled out for the remainder of the Wizards' west coast trip on Wednesday, does not look like he's close to a return.

According to Candace Buckner, Miles will see a specialist on Monday to asses ligament damage in his injured left wrist. She includes that there's a possibility Miles will require season-ending surgery.

If he indeed misses the rest of the year, the Wizards would have to turn to Troy Brown and Jordan McRae for more minutes at the wing spot and give Isaac Bonga more of a role in the rotation.

That wouldn't be the worst thing for a young, developing Wizards team, but it's hard to replace a veteran like Miles who can settle everyone down and hit shots from deep.

Miles is in the final year of his contract and will hit unrestricted free agency this summer.
