The Bears’ 2021 coaching staff continues to take shape as some coaches leave, and new coaches come onboard. On Thursday afternoon Brad Biggs reported the team found a new inside linebackers coach.
Source says #Bears have hired Bill McGovern as inside linebackers coach. He's worked previously for the #Giants and #Eagles and coached a pretty good linebacker at Boston College in Luke Kuechly.

McGovern also crossed paths with new defensive coordinator Sean Desai while at Boston College. In 2013, McGovern made the jump to the NFL, where he spent seven years between the Eagles and Giants staffs. He returned to the college game in 2020 when he joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers as a defensive analyst.
McGovern replaces Mark DeLeone as the Bears’ inside linebackers coach, after DeLeone joined Dan Campbell’s staff in Detroit.
The Bears also hired Chris Rumph to be their defensive line coach on Thursday.
