Report: Center Ethan Pocic will test market but could return to Browns
After releasing veteran center JC Tretter the Cleveland Browns were set to start former fifth-round pick, Nick Harris. After his injury veteran, Ethan Pocic stepped in and had arguably the best season of his career. With Pocic a free agent again this offseason the team may be looking for a new starter as Mary Kay Cabot reports he will test the market.
“Pocic’s market value is about $7.2 million a year according to Spotrac. The Browns have or will talk numbers with Pocic’s agent, and then he’ll likely test the free agent waters beginning March 13.”
Cabot also goes on to say that the Browns still feel good about Nick Harris who is coming back from injury. It makes sense as long as his knee is healthy and ready to go the team expected him to be the starter last year. If I was to make a prediction now with the money already invested in the offense line, Pocic will likely not be in Cleveland next year.
