Boxing Report: Bellator champion Cris Cyborg to box Kelsey Wickstrum on Jan. 19
Cris Cyborg’s next fight will take place in a boxing ring.
Cyborg faces Kelsey Wickstrum in a six-round 154-pound bout Jan. 19 at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., per ESPN.
Cyborg has entered the boxing ring twice in her career. She defeated Simone da Silva in her debut in September 2022, then laced up the gloves again less than three months later when she defeated Gabrielle Holloway to earn her first professional win.
California’s Wickstrum is 2-0 as a professional boxer. The 36-year-old picked up a Round 3 TKO of Sudana Moore this past April.
Cyborg’s most recent appearance came in the cage when she retained her featherweight title against Cat Zingano by first-round TKO this past October in the Bellator 300 co-main event.
