Former UCLA football head coach Terry Donahue died on Sunday.

He was 77.

Donahue served as the Bruins’ head coach from 1976-95. He was 151–74–8 and won five Pac-10 championships (1982, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1993). UCLA won three Rose Bowl games under Donahue (1983, 1984, 1986).

The two-time Pac-10 Coach of the Year (1985, 1993) was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

Donahue played Tennessee five times during his head coaching tenure at UCLA. He was 2-2-1 against the Vols.

Donahue played defensive tackle at UCLA from 1965-66. He launched his coaching career as a defensive line coach at Kansas (1968-70) before serving as an offensive line coach for the Bruins (1971-75).
