Remembering Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce’s sole playoff run with the Brooklyn Nets

Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Brook Lopez — five All-Star players helming the Brooklyn Nets after having been dealt away for picks, pick swaps, and players who have become the Boston Celtics’ contention core of today.

The big, bold move by the Nets to try and make a run at a title with their own best players augmented by the fading days of the players who won Boston their last ring did not pan out so well for Brooklyn. But for fans of the Celtics who could not bear to watch their favorite players in a strange uniform or younger fans who missed this era, the folks behind the “Secret Base” YouTube channel put together a brief history of Pierce and Garnett’s sole postseason run on Brooklyn.
