Red Sox claim INF Christian Arroyo off waivers from Indians
The Boston Red Sox added some infield depth to their roster on Thursday.
Christian Arroyo was claimed off waivers from the Cleveland Indians, filling the team's 40-man roster and 60-man player pool. Arroyo has major league experience at second base, third base, and shortstop.

The 25-year-old was drafted in the first round by the Giants in 2013. In 2017, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in the deal that sent veteran third baseman Evan Longoria to San Francisco. Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom was the Rays' senior vice president of baseball operations at the time
Through 71 big-league games, Arroyo has a slash line of .215/.280/.342 with six home runs.
